It is like the skies knew that our family needed the rain this morning. I will take its cues and relax, celebrating our weekend of hard work. We weeded, took out several shrubs, gave one tree a major hair cut and so, so much more! I was intentional to take a “before” picture and told Sean that I can’t wait to snap an “after” when the projects begin to wind down. It feels good to have accomplished so many tasks from our to-do list. Without a doubt, the hardest part of any project is living in the middle of the chaos they create. But today, I will focus on the process and live with imperfections. I feel as if we are on a great journey with this house and yesterday we simply reached another pass on the mountain.
We bought a yellow house, northeast of the land where we fell in love. It sits waiting for us on a quiet street, where the snow covers the walkway and the sign in the front yard says, “sold”. We are anxious to go to this place. Looking forward to the future, we recognize that our first home will see lots of firsts for us over the next few years. It will be place of calm and challenge, growth and stability, but mostly it will be our place to “be”.
